Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEPs) are university-qualified allied health professional who specialises in exercise and movement for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. They undertake strict accreditation requirements and are registered with Medicare, DVA, Workcover and recognised by most private health insurers.
AEPs will utilise their extensive skills and knowledge in exercise prescription and behaviour change, to evaluate, empower and assist clients to manage and improve their health and fitness. Exercise programs are individualised and tailored to suit individual needs. Most importantly, they help people move and exercise their way, safely and correctly, to a healthier lifestyle.
Medicare rebates are available under Enhanced Primary Care Program. DVA bulk billing is available under D904 referral. Please discuss with your GP regarding your eligibility to access Exercise Physiology services under Medicare and DVA.
